Hello, my name is Jessie and I am so glad you have come to visit. How have you been? How is your day going? I hope you are able to know without a doubt that God loves you. You may have heard this before, but do you really know?
I had grown up in church and as a child, sang, “Jesus loves me,” more times that I could count. I had even grown up serving in the church, but at age 17, I decided to follow Jesus as my Lord and savior. Yet, as time continued and life brought about its difficulties and disappointments, I began to lose my joy.
I had married at 25, yet at 31, I did not have any children. I felt time was flying by. Many people around me were having kids, even ladies a lot younger than me. I was so desperate that I put my husband and I on a special pregnancy diet with foods that even my dog would not eat (and he would eat roadkill).
One day in Sunday school, the teacher stated that God loved us. To be honest I don’t remember what the lesson was on, but those words turned on a light bulb in my brain and in my heart. The God of the universe, the almighty creator who could do anything loves Me! He not only can do whatever He wants, He chooses to bless me because I am precious to Him.
In that present situation of trying to get pregnant, I realized I had nothing to worry about. God loves me so much and knows I want to get pregnant. He also knows what is best and has all the power to make it happen. At once, a huge weight fell off. I no longer had to be in control. I was free from the responsibility of having a child. I just had to try. My God, my Father, my savior would take care of the rest at the best time.
One month later, I was pregnant with my beautiful daughter, Bethany. Now, God has blessed me with 2 more sweet and wild kids, David and Grace.
Since that vital moment when I truly understood God’s personal love for me, I have been trying to share this awesome truth…GOD LOVES YOU!
